It’s been years, literally years, that I’ve been kicking around the idea of doing a travel blog.
All my insecurities held me back from taking the plunge. I don’t know how to create a website. I wouldn’t even know where to start. What would I even write about? I’m not special enough for people to follow me. Do we even travel enough to have a travel blog?
But then COVID turned me into a work-from-home-mom, which turned into a stay-at-home-mom a few months later. And now that I have so much extra time on my hands (kidding… I have a homeschooled 4-year-old who keeps me more than busy), I figured I really ought to do this, even if it was just a passion project.
You (yes, YOU) may even be one of the people that encouraged me to create this blog. And I don’t mean the traditional “you go, girl!” encouragement. Over the years, I’ve received so many inquiries from friends about recommendations for trips, itineraries, travel gear, how to fly with kids, where to eat, etc. etc.
The writing was on the wall. I NEEDED to get the guts and just do the dang blog thing.
I pulled up my Google Drive to create a new document for all my blogging notes. Low and behold, one already existed. And I created it in 2015.
So, here goes. I’m finally doing it.
Welcome to my travel blog: We Take The Trips!
